Founded in 1958, Govt. Graduate College Okara stands as a monument of knowledge in the heart of the district.
The foundation stone of this imperial red-brick building was laid on August 30, 1958, by Provincial Minister Mukhdoomzada Hassan Mehmood. The campus is sheltered by indigenous neem and banyan trees, preserving the natural beauty of the region.
Originally starting as M.B High School in 1910, it was upgraded to a College to fulfill the educational needs of the masses. In 1963, it attained Degree level status, and in 1996, it was elevated to a Postgraduate College. Today, it is the premier institution for boys in Okara.
